Every morning it was the four-year-old's job to go out and chop bamboo with a machete. The narrator noted how careful he was to keep his 2-year-old sister out of harm's way.
At the very least he needs to know how to wield a snow shovel by now.
Not quite. But he can finally pick up toys, so I'm assuming the Wusthof Santoku knife is just around the corner!
