It's a scene of intolerance we know all too well: a racist white southerner from Austrailia giving African-Americans who live in the West Indies fried chicken.
KFC is pulling an ad that only ran in Australia that Americans deem racist. The fact that the Australians were okay with it doesn't matter. That the West Indians were okay with it doesn't matter. That the ad campaign was a tie-in to an upcoming (and much-anticipated) cricket match between the two nations is irrelevant. The important thing is, we stamped out racism, even if we had to do it by being offended on behalf of a party that didn't have the decency to be offended for itself. USA! USA!
When people talk about "American imperialism", this sort of thing is what they should mean.
