I think I even typed Kent Conrad once in this post before correcting it.

Thanks for the correction.Jay W.https://www.blogger.com/profile/14641404051461719678noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6361005139810303893.post-9356135416120043392010-01-08T09:08:38.497-06:002010-01-08T09:08:38.497-06:00Dorgan wasn't caught up in the Countrywide sca...Dorgan wasn't caught up in the Countrywide scandal. His only connection is that he rents an apartment in the complex Conrad had financed in Bismarck.Robhttp://sayanythingblog.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6361005139810303893.post-80407890599101054192010-01-07T15:57:42.779-06:002010-01-07T15:57:42.779-06:00The article does note the more Republicans are ret...The article does note the more Republicans are retiring bit. The problem for Democrats is that the Republicans that are leaving are largely in areas where another Republican will take their place. Not so for Dodd and a few others (and hopefully Dorgan).

As for the opportunity you spoke of; it must be tough when a growing number of people believe strongly your ideas will just sink us further into debt without addressing the problems at hand, and get ever more vocal about it.Jay W.https://www.blogger.com/profile/14641404051461719678noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6361005139810303893.post-65974934076811284732010-01-07T15:09:15.320-06:002010-01-07T15:09:15.320-06:00I would argue to the contrary of the articles auth...I would argue to the contrary of the articles author that these days may perhaps be the most rewarding times to govern...an opportunity to lead the country out of crisis. I also think most the democratic resignations are scripted so stronger, fresh candidates can run in their place. Finally, it is seldom noted in any of these articles about Dodd and Dorgan resigning that there are actually more republicans leaving office this term than democrats...so far.Timhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11411987620062098143noreply@blogger.com
